Tyrannosaurus Rex & Acheroraptors Clash at Hell Creek (a.k.a. "Angry Birds")

Hell Creek formation, Montana, 66 million years ago. Tyrannosaurus rex and two Acheroraptor temertyorum squabble over the carcass of a sub-adult edmontosaurus annectens. Resource competition occurs is every imaginable ecosystem. In the Hell Creek formation, tyrannosaurus rex was undoubtedly the apex predator. In fact, mid-sized predators in HC were all together scarce. However direct competition was sometimes unavoidable when resource scarcity forces you to venture out of your ecological niche.
